II Kings 7:3

SECOND: FOUR RESPONSES
The four lepers could very well have represented our position today.
The first leper could have represented faith. Without faith, the plight of Black people is hopeless, and our chances are slim indeed. Faith is what moves us despite apparent despair.
The second leper could have represented hope. When the world loses any perception of the possibility of achieving hope those who believe in God know that God will always make a way. They keep the flame of hope burning strong.
The third leper could have represented determination. No matter how tough the times, we must be both individually and collectively determined that we will put forth every ounce of energy and strength we have to make the vision of the kingdom become a reality.
The fourth leper could have represented the spirit of optimism. The optimist sees through the dim melancholy darkness of the moment into the brightness of the morrow.
